About

Outdoor Adventure Camp for children aged 3.5–6 years. Camps are 9.00am-12.30pm daily according to the schedule. Drop-off from 8.45am. Our Sprouts & Sunbirds Camp offers a joyful, play-based immersion in nature inspired by the Forest School ethos. It is a confident introduction to early years outdoor education, where curiosity leads and children build real skills through meaningful outdoor experiences. Mature and experienced 6-year-olds may join Hornbills & Eagles. Experiences include (for new experiences for the season please see our brochure): - Wildlife and mini-beast discovery - Plant identification and garden exploration - Water and sensory play - Gentle cooperative games - Forest School skills - Nature arts and crafts - Farm experiences - Outdoor cooking - Open-ended nature play Key Learning Outcomes, Children grow in meaningful, measurable ways: - Physical development – improved balance, coordination, core strength and stamina through climbing, lifting, digging and full-body movement outdoors. - Thinking skills – stronger focus, problem-solving and flexible thinking as children navigate real-world challenges and open-ended play. - Confidence and resilience – learning to manage small risks, try again after setbacks and develop a “can-do” mindset. - Independence – taking responsibility for belongings, self-care and simple camp tasks, building self-belief and autonomy. - Creativity and imagination – transforming natural materials into art, inventions and storytelling through unstructured play. - Social skills – developing communication, cooperation, empathy and teamwork in a mixed-age environment. - Connection to nature – fostering respect, curiosity and care for the natural world through regular, meaningful contact with it.
