About
Gates open at 3.45pm, programme starts at 4.15pm. The arrival time gives children the opportunity to connect with one another and explore their environment before the session commences. This is a 9 week term. Term 2 dates: 15 Apr to 17 Jun 2026 (9 weeks) No session on 27 May 2026 (Hari Raya Puasa) Eagles is Wildlings at its most ambitious. For children aged 8.5 years to the term they turn 11, this is serious outdoor education. Children who love it are welcome to continue for as long as they are enjoying and benefitting from the experience. Many of our Eagles have been with us for years and their competence shows. Children lead their own learning, take on significant physical and creative challenges and develop the independence and resilience that comes from sustained time in nature. They manage fires, use bladed tools with confidence, build complex structures and take real responsibility within the group. Eagles work towards their campfire and knife licenses and take ownership of specific areas of the Wildlings gardens and environment. Delivered by qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioners across our private 1.25 acre nature space at Dempsey and the wider heritage area, Eagles is shaped by the children, the environment, seasons and cultural events. Science and service learning are woven into the programme, giving older children the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to their environment and community. Eagles regularly hike to our secret forest den, get out across the Dempsey fields for nature and heritage walks, geocaching, orienteering and compass navigation. What your child will experience: - Campfire and knife license progression - Advanced fire skills, campfire cooking and outdoor food preparation - Complex shelter and structure building - Woodworking, tool use and skilled making - Science, ecology, conservation and service learning - Leadership, teamwork and self-directed projects - Nature and heritage walks, geocaching and orienteering Session structure: Arrival and connection, time to connect with one another and explore their environment > Check-in and team challenges or games > Guided activities based on the children's interests, with new experiences introduced by leaders based on their observations > Closing circle and reflection This term families are invited to our end-of-term party and our annual Community Festival. In other terms we run family socials such as laser tag (Term 1) and raft building (Term 3). Returning Forest School families receive a 10% loyalty discount. Sibling discount: 15% off a second, third or fourth child when one child is enrolled at full or loyalty rate. Our team is first aid trained, child safeguarding certified, and led by qualified Forest School Practitioners. Wildlings is a five-time Expat Living Readers' Choice Award winner.
