Summer Holiday Camps in Singapore 2026: What's New at Wildlings

Summer is coming and we are already deep into planning the biggest Wildlings camp programme yet. Here is what we have lined up for June to August 2026, and why this summer is going to be different.

What Makes a Wildlings Summer Holiday Camps Different?

Most holiday camps in Singapore keep kids busy. We want more than that. Wildlings camps are built on Forest School principles. That means children lead their own experiences, take real risks in a managed environment, and develop skills they can actually use. Fire lighting, shelter building, tool use, outdoor cooking, wildlife tracking, team challenges. Not a worksheet in sight (unless its a treasure map!).

We are one of the few adventure camp specialists to operate from their own centres and the only one of these that offers camps that subscribe as much as possible the principles of the Forest Schools ethos, including its embrace of learner-centred design, play and exploration.

Younger children who have participated in an art in nature craft

Every camp runs outdoors at our two purpose-built nature spaces in Singapore. Children embrace nature, climb trees, build things, problem-solve and go home with stories, not just certificates. We cater for ages 3.5 to 12 across four age groups and special interest camps: Sprouts (3.5-4), Sunbirds (5-6.5), Hornbills (6.5-8) and Eagles (8.5-11), Wild Cooking & Art, and Bi-lingual Adventure. Each group has a programme designed for their stage of development to which they contribute their ideas, our camps are not a one-size-fits-all approach.

Our Two Locations: Dempsey and West Coast Park

Wildlings Nature Space, Dempsey

Our flagship site at 27A Loewen Road, inside Core Collective at Dempsey Hill. This is where most of our summer camps run. Think wild spaces, campfires, a climbing tree, an eco-pond, bamboo structures, a nature kitchen and enough space for children to spread out and explore properly. Dempsey is surrounded by mature forest and has a feel that is hard to find elsewhere in Singapore.

Wildlings Eco Centre, West Coast Park

Located at City Sprouts Farm on West Coast Ferry Road. This site brings together adventure play, urban farming and nature education. Greenhouses, allotments, a spice garden, worms, nature kitchen, and a community pavilion for shelter when the rain comes. West Coast Park camps have a slightly different flavour, with a more gentle space for little ones. oportunities for farm-to-table experiences and sustainability content built in. There are opportunities to explore the whole of West Coast Park boasting a large adventure playground, coastal zone and mangrove forest. Older children can enjoy an archery experience at nearby Salt-n-Light Archery.

Camp Ages and Groups

  • Sprouts (3.5-4 years): Nature play, sensory exploration, water play, farm experiences, gentle confidence building. Available at West Coast Park.

  • Sunbirds (4-6.5 years): Adventure in nature, child-led exploration, wildlife observation, nature crafts, campfires, outdoor cooking. Both locations.

  • Hornbills (6.5-8 years): Hands-on outdoor adventure, survival skills, shelter building, treasure hunts, team games, jungle exploration. Both locations.

  • Eagles (8.5-11 years): Leadership, bushcraft, advanced fire and tool skills, tree climbing, obstacle courses, navigation, environmental learning. Both locations.

Summer Holiday Camp Programme 2026

Camps run Monday to Friday, 9am to 12.30pm, across 11 weeks from early June through mid-August. Children can be dropped off from 8.45am and the camp extension option extends the camp day to 3pm. Bookings are usually made by the full camp week.

Signature Adventure Camps

Adventure Camps are the core programme and run at Dempsey for most of the summer. This is what we are known for. A week of outdoor adventure, hands-on skills, nature connection and team challenges. Different activities every day. Campfires, outdoor cooking, bushcraft, water play, den building, wildlife observation, physical challenges, creative nature projects and more.

Bilingual Adventure Camp

Bilingual camps run at West Coast Park on selected weeks. Same outdoor adventure programme, delivered bilingually in Mandarin and English. Ideal for children who want to maintain their Mandarin over the holidays through real experiences rather than classroom drills. Activities include Chinese calligraphy with natural pigments, traditional herbal tea making, Taichi, and culturally themed campfire cooking alongside all the standard camp favourites. Due to its added complexity these camps are offered to children up to 12 years old.

Special Interest Camps

Our special interest camps combine two favourite camp themes - Wild Cooking and Art in Nature - and take place at Wildlings West Coast Park. These camps appeal to creative children who love to make things, experiment, and find the positive if things don't turn out as planned - as often happens when using wild materials and campfires to cook on! Available on selected weeks only. Due to their added complexity these camps are offered to children up to 12 years old.

Summer Camp Extension Programme 2026

Our Camp Extension at Dempsey lets you turn a morning camp into a full day, running through to 3pm. The afternoon programme is separate from the morning, with age-appropriate, pre-planned activities. Older children (6-11) get a skills-based outdoor programme such as externally provided experiences by swish swimming and Mr Bucket Chocolate to Wildlings-led workshops such as survival skills and everything to do with coconuts / bananas / pumpkins - you name it! To provide parents with flexibility you can book single afternoons or the full week at a 15% discount.

New for Summer 2026

There are three new elements to our camp programme that we are particularly excited about this year.

City Sprouts and Wildlings Camp Collaboration @West Coast Park

For the first time, we are partnering with City Sprouts, the urban farming and nature education organisation that created the farm where we are based at West Coast Park. During selected weeks in June, our West Coast camps will combine Wildlings' outdoor adventures with City Sprouts' expertise in the natural world and their additional facilities at the farm.

Batu Batu Island Holiday Camp: Summer 2026

For two weeks in late June and early July, Wildlings will be running a holiday camp at Batu Batu, a private eco-resort on Pulau Tengah island in Malaysia. The programme is designed for children 6 to 12 years old with morning, afternoon and evening sessions which parents can add-on to their holiday villa booking. Activities include bodyboarding, turtle conservation, mangrove planting, shelter and raft building, fire skills, coconut tree climbing, compass orienteering and night walks with UV torches and more. This is sure to be popular, bookings will be direct with Batu Batu Resort and open soon.

Camp Extension Opened to Younger Children

After a huge response and success at offering full day camps for our Sunbirds group at Chinese New Year we are opening the option to extend camp for a full day to our younger age group, 4-5yrs, this summer. This will help parents with much-needed childcare during the long school holidays whilst providing more time for kids to be outdoors, active and connecting with nature - away from the temptation of screens. Younger children will enjoy themed, play-based and exploratory experiences with time to rest and recharge between the morning and afternoon over lunch.

Why invest in a camp experience like this?

SSingapore children spend most of their year indoors. School, tuition, screens. Reduced access to outdoor play, rising sedentary behaviour, increasing academic pressure at the expense of physical and emotional development, and fewer opportunities for children to assess risk and build independence. These are not abstract concerns. They describe the daily reality for most families here.

Compare that to children growing up in places like Sydney, where outdoor culture is woven into everyday life. Singapore children are just as capable. They just get fewer chances to prove it.

That is exactly why Wildlings exists. Our mission is to prepare confident, resilient, and creative children to thrive in the future through outdoor education, adventure, and real-world experiences in the great outdoors. Summer camp is one of the few weeks in the year where children get to spend every morning outside, making decisions, managing challenge, and building skills that no classroom can teach.

Our camps are outdoor adventure camps, built on a Forest School ethos. Every activity has purpose, whether children realise it or not. How kids get smart comes down to giving them space to figure things out for themselves. The power of nature as a development environment is something we see firsthand every year, from improved focus and coordination to better sleep and stronger immunity.

Parents sometimes ask whether the risk element is worth it. This post tackles that directly. Risk is not something we tolerate. It is something we design for, because it is how children learn to trust themselves. And if you want to hear it from a parent rather than from us, one family's perspective on why this approach matters is worth a read.

The holidays should not be six weeks of screen time and air conditioning. They should be an adventure.
