About the event

Purpose

We're teaming up with One Planet Singapore this January to bring our Forest School Club community together to make a difference to the environment of East Coast Park. This is an opportunity to do something good 'on our watch' over the planet and also show our children that their efforts can have a tangible, positive, impact. The event will highlight important challenges facing our environment and our children - our planet's future stewards.

Format

  • We'll meet between 8.30-8.45am with Georgia from One Planet
  • Group briefing & health and safety
  • Clean-up - approximately 1hr
  • Reflection - Waste weighing, analysis and discussion: Did we find more or less than we expected? What types of waste did we find?
  • Make a pledge: What can we each do to reduce our waste?
  • Waste free picnic and playtime (no packaging and disposables for the picnic please. Food waste will be collected for Wildlings' Food Waste Composter)

Please wear Forest School Club t-shirts if your child has one. to help us identify as a group and stay together in the public space.
