Our camp is designed to provide children aged 6-8 years (years 2 & 3) with an immersive and enriching experience in nature and the great outdoors, inspired by the Forest School ethos. We are thrilled to share with you some of the reasons why our camps are awesome: - Child-Led Activities: Our program allows children to take a leading role in choosing their experiences, making it a customized adventure unique to each group. - Nature-Based Activities: Our program includes a range of engaging and fun nature-based activities that inspire, challenge, and delight children. From knots and shelters, using Forest School whittling knives, to learning wilderness survival skills and treasure hunting. - Our Staff: Our team is composed of experienced staff members who are trained in the Forest School approach and are passionate about helping children learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. - Award-Winning: We are proud to have won Expat Living Readers' Choice Awards recognition three years in a row for our outstanding work in providing exceptional outdoor experiences for young children. - Child Safeguarding: We are certified by Child Safeguarding, ensuring that our campers are safe and well-cared for at all times. - Unique Private Nature Space: Our camp takes place in a beautiful and purposely designed 1.25 acre nature space in Dempsey. Our space is designed to provide children with a unique and engaging outdoor learning experience, with plenty of opportunities for exploration, play, and discovery. During the programme, children will have the opportunity to participate in a range of adventure activities, which may include: - Knots and shelters - Using Forest School tools, such as whittling knives - Wilderness survival skills - Treasure hunting and puzzle solving - Water play and exploration - Team games and challenges - Nature arts and crafts - Adventure and risky play - Chickens, farming and gardening Learning Outcomes: Our program is designed to help children develop important skills and outcomes, such as: - Physical fitness, coordination, and balance - Critical thinking and problem-solving - Confidence, resilience, and self-esteem - Creativity and imagination - Respect for the natural world and its inhabitants - Social skills, teamwork, and leadership Camp is 8.45am to 12.15pm each day.
