Wildlings Dempsey is a private nature space built for hands-on outdoor adventure. Wildlings sits within a tropical jungle environment with natural terrain, a signature campfire and outdoor cooking area, climbing features and sheltered spaces for building, making and creating. This is proper outdoor education. Camp takes place from 9:00am to 12:30pm daily, Monday to Friday. Drop-off from 8:45am. Children are involved in the design of their camp week, so every week is unique. Our educators plan experiences based on the interests of each group, using the full environment and its features: the campfire area, the climbing tree, the jungle space and slackline, the gardens, the eco-pond, the sports field and more. Hornbills may venture further, across Dempsey fields and to the camp road playground. Adventure Camp builds practical outdoor skills, teamwork, resilience, problem-solving and confidence through real hands-on experience. What to expect: - Campfire cooking and outdoor food experiences - Forest School tool use and woodcraft - Knots, lashing, shelter and den building - Ecosystem exploration, pond dipping, environmental science and sustainability - Plant life and wildlife, including insect discovery and chicken-care - Nature crafts with natural materials - Team challenges, adventure games and physical exploration Your child should be 6.5 years or older for their first Hornbills Adventure Camp and happy to be dropped off. If your child is 8yrs to 8.5yrs old and this is their first Wildlings camp please enroll them in Hornbills, otherwise please select Eagles. Bring a water bottle, snack, sun hat, covered shoes and a change of clothes. Come ready to embrace the great outdoors! Capable, confident and ready for adventure.
