About

Ignite your child’s curiosity and confidence through hands-on culinary adventures in the great outdoors at our Wild Cooking Camp., running Monday to Wednesday, 9.00am to 12.30pm. Combine with our two morning Art in Nature Camp for a full week experience. Designed for children aged 7–12, this immersive experience invites young campers to connect with nature while learning essential cooking skills in a fun and supportive environment. Throughout the camp, children will discover the joys of outdoor cooking using a variety of cooking methods and food preparation. From baking on open flames and to crafting garden-fresh one pot noodles and foraging for edible plants to make refreshing botanical drinks, every activity is rooted in real-world learning and sensory exploration with a strong farm-to-table element. Along the way, children will strengthen their practical life skills, develop teamwork and independence, and gain a deeper appreciation for where their food comes from. Beyond just recipes, our Wild Cooking Camp nurtures responsibility, creativity, and confidence in young learners—allowing them to take pride in preparing food from scratch and sharing it with others. Learning Outcomes: - Practical Life Skills: Learn fundamental cooking techniques, food hygiene, and safe use of tools in an outdoor setting. - Nature Appreciation: Discover the connection between food and the environment through foraging and seasonal eating. - Confidence & Independence: Build self-assurance through hands-on cooking and problem-solving in real time. - Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with peers to prepare shared meals, enhancing social and cooperative skills. - Creativity & Curiosity: Experiment with flavors, textures, and techniques in a playful and exploratory way. - Environmental Awareness: Understand the importance of sustainability, reducing food waste, and respecting natural resources. - Mindfulness & Presence: Slow down and engage all five senses while cooking and eating in the open air. Who is it for? This camp is perfect for children who love getting stuck non and hands-on, enjoy helping out in the kitchen, or are curious about how food is made (or also love to eat!). Whether your child is an adventurous eater, a nature enthusiast, or simply loves being outdoors, Wild Cooking offers a unique opportunity to grow, connect, and have fun. No prior cooking experience is needed—just a hearty appetite for learning and a sense of adventure!
