This is a 10 week term. Term 2 dates: 14 Apr to 16 Jun 2026 (10 weeks) Your child's first step into a life outdoors starts here. Forest Babies is an accompanied playgroup for children aged 12 to 24 months, run by qualified Forest School Leaders in our private nature space at Wildlings Dempsey. This is not a soft play session. It is an immersive, sensory introduction to the natural world, designed to build the foundations of confidence, curiosity and physical competence from the very start. Children explore real nature with their caregiver. They dig in soil, splash in water, handle natural materials, taste edible plants and move their bodies across uneven ground. Every session is carefully planned to develop the whole child, physically, socially, emotionally and creatively, in an environment that invites genuine discovery. What to expect: - Sensory play with water, sand and natural textures - First arts and crafts using natural and sustainable materials - Fine and gross motor skill development through outdoor movement - Wildlife observation and plant exploration - Free play in our purpose-built nature play garden Session structure: Arrival and free play (settling in) > Welcome circle > Warm-up activity > Guided exploration time > Child-led nature playtime > Songs and bubbles to close > Optional 30 minutes extra playtime This term families are invited to our end-of-term party and our annual Community Festival. In other terms we run family socials such as laser tag (Term 1) and raft building (Term 3). Returning Forest School families receive a 10% loyalty discount. Sibling discount: 15% off a second, third or fourth child when one child is enrolled at full or loyalty rate. One adult per child please. Instruction is in English. Our team is first aid trained, child safeguarding certified, and led by qualified Forest School Practitioners.
