Get your children into the great outdoors these school holidays with our new Forest School holiday programmes.  At Wildlings we focus on play, social skills and emotional intelligence whilst connecting with nature and reaping the benefits mentally and physically of spending quality time outside.

Our new programmes take place in our exclusive Forest School site conveniently located in Dempsey and dedicated to delivering the best quality Forest School experience around.

Your children will have the unique opportunity to shape a natural space and make it their own, a rarity in an urban centre like Singapore.

Day One: Wednesday

Play, Plants and Pollinators

Today we will learn about our space and each other through some physical warm-up fun and games. We will be responsible and check for risks and learn how to be safe outdoors in a natural environment.

The children will be invited to play freely with our resources at their own pace.

We will provide the opportunity to help plant our new plants which are edible, smell lovely or attract pollinating insects. and to care for the plants in our nursery.

We will build a bee house for our new site together and develop an appreciation for these wonderful insects.

Day Two: Thursday

Wiggly Wormeries and Waste

Following on from day one the children will help us to check our site for any new hazards before we begin to play freely outdoors.

We will introduce the topic of waste and how we can use a wormery to decompose organic matter and create compost to enrich the soil in our garden.

Together we will create a wormery for our site (including digging for live earthworms) and the children can create their own mini-wormeries to take home.

Day Three: Friday

Campfires and outdoor cooking

Following on from day two, the children will check the site for any new hazards before we begin our free play.

We will bring the children together to test out different types of tinder and we will practice using our fire strikers.

We will chop firewood using a classic Forest School tool and light a cooking fire.

We will cook a yummy snack item together before we toast marshmallows, have a campfire story and hold our fire extinguishing ceremony.
